[Sakamoto can feel the warmth leave him, and he stands dumbstruck in the middle of the crowd. Soon he falls prey to the bumping and grinding of the crowd, being pushed every which way until he's finally at the edge of the dance floor. He squints his eyes, the thumping of the music finally resulting in some kind of headache. She's not the type of girl who would leave him like this, but...

[ she's exhausted by the time she gets outside, leaning against the wall of the club and taking a moment to get her bearings. she probably shouldn't have ran out like that, what if she made him upset? but she was too embarrassed right then and even now she wants to run home, pretend the whole thing didn't happen.

but if she thinks about it, she doesn't want that. she liked what was happening in there, the closeness and the intimacy. she liked it and a part of her wished it would never end.

[Sakamoto leans against the bar, drink now in hand, wondering how far away she is. It's more than likely that she's just outside, she's not the type of girl to leave with no warning. Perhaps she's finally come to her senses, come to realize that she's disgusted with him, and is preparing how to deliver the news to him in the least hurtful way possible.

But as he looks at his barely recognizable reflection on the glass, the merchant's eyes narrow.]

Tatsuma! What's the matter with you?

[He makes a disgruntled sound, a low rumble of disapproval in his throat.]

You've always fought tooth 'n nail for the things you wanted.

[Lashes flutter, and some unpleasant memories come to mind. His dreams may have been foolish back then, but he accomplished them eventually, no?

And with a clink, Sakamoto leaves the glass on the table.]

[ when he gets outside, he'll see her crouched against the wall and staring at her device deep in thought. she's so focused that she doesn't notice him at first, tapping rapidly on the screen like she's typing something important. eventually, she reads over what she wrote but seems unsatisfied with it, deleting the whole thing. ]

[The word doesn't come off as strong as he wanted it to.

Sakamoto stands with his hands in his pockets, searching for the right words. He could continue as if everything is fine, but the farce just doesn't feel right. Especially when she's so honest.]

[And, with an ounce of hesitation.]

It happens all the time! I've got a big mouth. A big stupid mouth! I'm stupid.

[ she's quick to stand once he comes over, clutching her device to her chest. she didn't expect him to meet her out here so soon and his expression catches her off guard. her helmet moves left to right again and she shows him the screen of her device, a bunch of half formed sentences that don't make a lot of sense as of yet. she reaches over to type something new: ]

You didn't make me upset, I think I was just embarrassed with myself. I'm sorry for making you worry.
But I realized something while I was outside
Do you remember when I asked if we could wait?
