but before she can truly understand that, there's one other thing: ]
Are you alright?
[ she knows the answer to that, but it's something for her to focus on for now. ]

They already know how he feels about her, supposedly. Should he keep her from getting in trouble? Should he cut all ties completely, to protect her?
His mind is hard at work with strategies- He's tempted to offer his services, see if he can get in on the inside... Ah, but at what cost? What does he have to offer them? Nothing, no bargaining chips.
His past is probably on the table. If he's been pulled from his reality, they probably know everything there is to know- They know about his relationship with Gintoki, with Zura, and perhaps a little of how he feels about Takasugi. Can he really sever ties with them as well?]
I should get back to work.

[ does he regret it, now that he knows what they know? have his feelings changed? she can understand it, if he wanted to keep his distance to protect both of them. but she can take care of herself and she's been doing it for many, many years; she doesn't need anyone to protect her, even in a place as dangerous as this.
she doesn't regret that night either, now that she thinks about it. yes, she feels violated, angry that they've seen something that was meant for just the two of them, but her feelings for sakamoto are greater than that. even if he were to pull away from her completely, she doesn't regret anything. ]
Take care.

Anywhere.
He picks up his phone again during an idle hour, wondering what to say. She always asks how he's feeling, if he's okay, hardly ever sharing the things that burden her. Sakamoto is the same way, and perhaps that's why they get along so well.]
I don't give a damn about what they've seen of me. I'm an idiot through and through! Whether anybody's lookin' or not.
["I'm not ashamed of who I am."
And he's not particularly ashamed of his body, either.]
Is it the same for you?
no subject
Yes.
[ it wasn't too long ago when all of ikebukuro saw her for what she really was, helmet knocked off in the middle of the street surrounded by gang members and civillians alike. she wasn't ashamed then: she wanted them to see her. and in some ways, it's the same here, isn't it? ]
I don't have anything to be ashamed of.

Then let's give 'em hell.
